Recovering a forgotten password

If you forget your password, you can request a reset link via email. The system will send you a secure link to create a new password. This process protects your account while ensuring you can regain access quickly.

Before you start

• You have access to the email address registered on your Usystems account.
• You know your company's login URL (e.g., https://mycompany.usystems.af/login).
• You have a working internet connection and can receive emails.

Steps

1. Go to the login page. Open your company's login address in your browser.

2. Look for the password recovery link. Below the password field, you should see a link that says "Forgot your password?" or "Can't sign in?" Click on it.

3. Enter your username or email. On the recovery page, type the username or email address associated with your Usystems account.

4. Click "Send reset link" or "Request password reset." The system will send an email to your registered email address.

5. Check your email. Open the email from Usystems (check your spam folder if it's not in your inbox). The email will contain a link to reset your password.

6. Click the reset link. The link is valid for a limited time (usually a few hours). Click on it to open the password reset page.

7. Enter your new password. Type your new password in both fields to confirm it. Make sure your password is strong (mix of letters, numbers, and symbols) and at least 8 characters long.

8. Click "Update password" or "Reset password." Your password is now changed.

9. Log in with your new password. Go back to the login page and sign in using your username and the new password you just created.

Accounting impact

There is no accounting impact for password resets. This is a security operation that does not affect any financial data or records.

Tips & common mistakes

• Check your spam folder if you don't see the reset email within a few minutes.
• Reset links expire after a few hours for security — if your link is expired, repeat the process to get a new one.
• Never share your reset email or link with anyone.
• If you don't receive a password reset email at all, contact your admin — they may need to verify your email address in the system.
