FAQ: Printing Cash Purchases
Answers to common questions about printing receipts and customizing templates.
Why does my print preview look different from the printed page?
Screen resolution and printer settings can cause slight layout shifts. Test with a small print run (one or two pages) before printing in bulk. If alignment is consistently off, ask your admin about adjusting the template margins or contact Usystems support.
Can I add a company logo to the printed receipt?
Yes, but your admin needs to customize the print template. Go to Settings → Print Templates and ask your admin to upload your company logo to the cash purchase template. They can also position it at the top, bottom, or side of the receipt.
What if I want to print only certain information (like items but not vendor details)?
This is a customization task for your admin. Go to Settings → Print Templates, edit the cash purchase template, and toggle which fields appear. Not all templates allow this, so check with your admin about your template's capabilities.
Can I print a cash purchase that's still in Draft status?
Yes. You can print a draft purchase at any time—the printout will show the current state of the document. If you edit the draft afterward, the next print will reflect the changes.
How do I save a printed purchase as a PDF instead of printing to paper?
In the print dialog, instead of selecting a physical printer, look for a "Save as PDF" option or choose "Print to File." This saves the purchase as a PDF file you can email, store, or print later.
Can multiple users print the same purchase?
Yes. Any user with access to view the purchase can print it. The printout shows the most current data at the time of printing.
Is there a way to print in a different language?
This depends on your Usystems setup. If your organization uses multiple languages (English and Dari, for example), the print template may adapt to the language you've selected in your Usystems interface. Ask your admin if language-specific templates are available.
What if the purchase details are really long (many items or long product names)?
The print template will handle this automatically—longer purchases may require multiple pages. Some templates can be customized to adjust font size or spacing. If the layout looks cramped, ask your admin to adjust the template settings.
Can I schedule or automate printing?
Most Usystems setups require manual printing from within the application. Automation features, if available, would be managed by your admin. Check with your IT or admin team about any printing workflows they've set up.
