Why is a customer missing from the report?

If you expect to see a customer but they do not appear in the Discounts by Customer report, check:

  • Date filter — the customer may have no discounts in the selected date range. Widen the date range to check earlier periods.
  • Filter selection — if you selected specific customers, make sure the missing customer is not excluded by the filter.
  • Discount activity — the customer must have at least one invoice or sales receipt with a discount. Customers with no discounts do not appear.

Why do my discount percentages not add up?

Discounts are calculated as a percentage of the pre-discount sales amount, not the final amount. For example:

  • If a customer's total sales were 1000 AFN and you gave 100 AFN in discounts, that is a 10% discount.
  • Multiple small discounts may appear in the report as separate rows if filtered by date; when combined, they show the true total.

Can I see refund details in this report?

No, this report shows only discounts on sales (invoices and receipts). Refunds, returns, and credit memos appear in separate reports. See the Refunds or Returns reports for those details.

Why does the report show discounts from one warehouse but not another?

If your business uses multiple warehouses, the Warehouse filter at the top of the report controls which location's data appears. Leave it blank to see all warehouses, or select a specific warehouse to focus on that location.

Can I export the report with custom columns?

The standard export includes all columns shown in the report (Customer, Total Discounts, Count, Percentage, Amount Sold). You cannot add custom columns within Usystems, but you can import the export into Excel and add your own calculations.

How often is this report updated?

The report is generated fresh each time you view or export it. It reflects all discounts recorded in the system up to the current moment. If you just created an invoice with a discount, refreshing the report (or closing and reopening it) will include that discount.

What if a customer has discounts in multiple currencies?

If a customer has sales and discounts in different currencies (e.g., some in AFN and some in USD), the report shows totals grouped by currency. If you filter by a single currency, only that currency's discounts and sales appear.
