Filters and options in the Discounts by Product report

The Discounts by Product report offers several filters to customize the data you see. Use them to focus on specific time periods, products, or product categories.
Available filters

How filters work together
- Multiple selections — if you choose more than one product or category, the report shows all of them (OR logic).
- Date range — the "Date From" and "Date To" fields define the period examined. Dates are based on the invoice or receipt creation date, not the discount entry date.
- Currency filter — narrows results to a single currency. If a product has sales in multiple currencies, filtering by currency may hide some of its discounts.
- Product and category filters — you can use both at the same time. For example, "Category = Supplies" AND "Product = Item X" shows only Item X if it is in Supplies, or nothing if Item X is in a different category.
Common filter combinations
- Last 30 days, single product — analyze discount trends for one popular item.
- Current year, by category — compare discount patterns across departments.
- All time, top 10 discounted products — identify your most heavily discounted items overall.
Resetting filters
Click the Reset or Clear Filters button (if available) to return all filters to their defaults and reload the report with all data.
