Exporting and printing the Cash Breakdown report

Once you have generated the Cash Breakdown report, you can save it as a file, send it via email, or print it.

Before you start

  • The report must already be generated and visible on screen (see "Running the Cash Breakdown report" if you need help generating it).
  • You should know where you want to save the file (PDF, Excel) or whether you want to print directly.

Exporting to PDF

  1. On the Cash Breakdown report page, look for an Export or Download button (often a PDF icon or the word "PDF").

  2. Click it to download the report as a PDF file to your computer.

  3. A new file will appear in your Downloads folder. You can then:

    • Open it to review before sharing.
    • Email it to colleagues, auditors, or stakeholders.
    • Print it from your PDF reader.

Exporting to Excel

  1. On the Cash Breakdown report page, look for an Export as Excel button or option (often a green button or an Excel icon).

  2. Click it to download the report as a .xlsx file.

  3. The Excel file will download to your computer and can be:

    • Opened in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet application.
    • Further analyzed, filtered, or formatted as needed.
    • Shared with team members or external parties.

Printing the report

  1. On the Cash Breakdown report page, look for a Print button or icon (often a printer symbol).

  2. Click it. Your browser's print dialog will open.

  3. Choose your printer and settings (page orientation, color/grayscale, margins, etc.).

  4. Click Print to send the report to your selected printer.

Tip: If printing to PDF from the browser, you can save the report without needing a physical printer.

Tips & common mistakes

  • File size: If the report covers a long date range with many transactions, the file may be large. This is normal; Excel or PDF readers can handle it.
  • Formatting: PDF exports preserve the report's layout as seen on screen. Excel exports include all columns as separate cells, making it easy to re-sort or further filter.
  • Sharing sensitive data: Ensure recipients have permission to view financial information before emailing or sharing exported reports.
