Navigating the main menu

What This Does

The main menu is your navigation hub. It groups all features and data types you have access to into logical sections—Sales, Accounting, Inventory, HR, and others depending on your product. Clicking a menu item opens a list of documents or records in that category, or leads to a module's settings.

Before You Start

• You must be logged into Usystems with an active user account.
• Your menu will only show modules and actions you have permission to access.

Steps

1. Look for the main menu on the left side of the screen (or in the top-left corner on mobile).

2. The menu is organized by business function:

   • Sales — invoices, sales orders, sales receipts, refunds
   • Purchases — bills, cash purchases, purchase orders
   • Accounting — accounts, journal, transactions, reports
   • Inventory — products, warehouse, stock levels, transfers
   • Contacts — customers, vendors, patient records
   • Settings — users, permissions, print templates, configuration
   • Other modules — HR, POS, Queues, Medical cases (depending on your product)

3. Click any menu item to open that section. For example:

   • Sales → Invoices opens your invoice list. Open in Usystems
   • Accounting → Accounts shows your chart of accounts. Open in Usystems
   • Contacts → Customers lists all customer records. Open in Usystems

4. Some menu items have arrows or + signs, indicating they have sub-items. Click to expand and see the submenu.

5. If you don't see an option, scroll the menu up or down—your company may have a long list of modules.

Tips & Common Mistakes

• Menu items disappear? This is normal if your role or permissions change. Ask your administrator if you need access to a module.
• Looking for a specific document? Instead of clicking through menus, use global search. It's faster for finding a particular invoice or contact.
• Mobile users: The menu may collapse into a hamburger icon (≡). Tap it to open or close the menu.
• The menu is sticky: It stays visible as you scroll down the page, so you can always navigate without scrolling back to the top.
