Filter and option reference

Filter / OptionPurposeHow to use
Revaluation dateSets the date for which the report calculates exchange-rate adjustments and shows unrealized gains/losses.Click the date picker and choose your desired date. The report will use the exchange rate you have recorded for that date (or the nearest date if none exists for the exact date). Most teams use today's date or the last day of the accounting period.
AccountsLimits the report to specific accounts in your chart of accounts.Leave blank to include all multi-currency accounts. To filter, begin typing the account name or code. Select one or more accounts from the dropdown. The report will show only the selected accounts.
Group by currencyReorganizes the report so that rows are grouped by currency instead of by account.Check the box to enable. When enabled, all USD balances appear together, all EUR balances together, etc. This view can help you see the total exposure in each currency at a glance.
Include zero balancesControls whether accounts with zero balance in the foreign currency appear in the report.Check the box to include them. Uncheck to hide accounts that have no unrealized gain or loss (balance = 0). By default, zero-balance accounts are hidden.
Show exchange rate detailsAdds columns that show the exchange rate used, the original carrying amount, and the revalued amount side-by-side.Check the box to enable. When disabled, only the account name, currency, balance, and gain/loss are shown. Enabling this option gives you the full calculation.
