Running the Attendance report

Generate a summary of employee attendance, absences, and leave.

Jul 11, 2026

The Attendance report shows whether each employee was present, absent, on leave, or late during a selected period. Use this report to track attendance patterns, calculate leave balances, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Before you start

  • You need HR module access.
  • Attendance records should be complete for the date range you are reporting on.
  • Ensure that leave types and absence categories are properly configured in your system.

Steps

  1. Go to the Reports menu. Open in Usystems

  2. Search for or browse to the HR & Payroll Reports section.

  3. Click on Attendance Report.

  4. Select your date range and any additional filters (department, employee, or leave type).

  5. Click Generate Report or View Report to display the results.

  6. Review the table showing each employee's attendance status for each day or period.

Tips & common mistakes

  • Ensure that your date range is correct; a mismatch between the selected range and the period you need can lead to incorrect analysis.
  • If you see unexpected absences or missing data, verify that attendance records were properly logged before the report date.
  • Use filters to focus on specific departments or employees rather than running the full organization report.
  • The report often color-codes attendance status (e.g., green for present, red for absent) for quick visual scanning.
