Running the Payroll Payments report

Generate the monthly or periodic payroll payments report to track all employee compensation disbursements.

Jul 11, 2026

The Payroll Payments report shows you every payment made to your employees within a selected period. Use it to verify that all salaries, bonuses, and deductions were processed correctly before finalizing payroll.

Before you start

  • You need HR read permission or higher to run reports.
  • Have the date range and employee filters (if any) ready.
  • Understand whether you want to see all employees or filter by department or status.

Steps

  1. Go to Reports and select Payroll Payments. Open in Usystems

  2. Choose your Date range using the calendar picker. Select the month or pay period you want to review.

  3. (Optional) Filter by Employee or Department using the search or dropdown fields to narrow the results.

  4. Click Generate Report or Apply Filters to display the results.

  5. Review the table showing each employee's gross pay, deductions, and net amount disbursed.

Accounting impact

Payroll Payments are recorded as expense transactions in your general ledger. The report reflects amounts already posted to salary expense accounts and cash/bank accounts, showing the final cash movement to employees.

Tips & common mistakes

  • Always review before paying. Generate the report a day before payroll runs to catch any data entry errors.
  • Filter by date range carefully. Reports default to the current month; adjust the dates if you need a different period.
  • Gross vs. net. The report shows both gross salary and net pay after statutory deductions—use net for your bank transfer amount.
  • Missing employees? If an employee doesn't appear, check whether they were marked inactive or have no payroll transactions in that period.
