Filters and options in the Payroll Transactions report
A guide to all available filters and report options for narrowing and customizing Payroll Transactions reports.

When running the Payroll Transactions report, you can use the following filters and options to customize the report to your needs:

| Start Date | The first date to include in the report. | 2026-07-01 |
| End Date | The last date to include in the report. | 2026-07-31 |
| Payroll Cycle | Select a specific payroll cycle or period if your organization uses defined cycles. | June 2026 Payroll |
| Employee | Filter to a single employee or leave blank to include all. | Ahmed Khan |
| Department | Filter transactions by the employee's department. | Finance, Operations, HR |
| Transaction Type | Show only specific types of payroll entries: Salary, Deduction, Bonus, Adjustment, Tax, Benefit. | Salary, Bonus |
| Status | Filter by processing status: Pending, Processed, Paid. | Paid |
| Sorted by | Choose how the results are ordered: Employee Name, Date, Amount, or Transaction Type. | Date (Newest First) |
| Include Inactive Employees | Toggle on to show transactions for employees no longer active. | Yes / No |
Usage tips
- Leave filters blank to get a complete unfiltered report.
- Combine multiple filters to narrow results—for example, show only bonuses paid in July to the Finance department.
- Use date ranges to isolate specific payroll periods or months.
- Sort by Date (newest first) to see the most recent transactions at the top.
