Notifications & Alerts

The in-app notification center

Find and manage all your system notifications in one place.

Jul 11, 2026

What this is

Usystems displays important system notifications in the in-app notification center. When documents are created, updated, or deleted; when inventory runs low; or when other events occur, you receive a notification. The notification center keeps all these alerts in one place so you can stay informed about what's happening in your business.

Before you start

  • You must be logged into Usystems
  • Notifications are generated automatically for events in your tenant—no setup required to receive them
  • You can mark individual notifications as read to reduce clutter

How to access the notification center

The in-app notification center is visible in your main interface. Look for the notification icon (typically a bell shape) in the top navigation area.

To open the notification center:

  1. Click the notification bell icon in the top right corner of your Usystems window
  2. A panel or dropdown will appear showing your recent notifications

Open in Usystems

Understanding your notifications

Each notification shows:

  • Title and message — a description of what happened (e.g., "Invoice INV-001 was created")
  • Sender — the module or area that generated the notification (Invoice, Queue, Bill, etc.)
  • Importance level — marked as Low, Normal, High, or Critical so you can prioritize
  • Date and time — when the notification was created
  • Read status — unread notifications appear as new; read ones fade to show you've seen them

Marking notifications as read

Unread notifications stand out to grab your attention. Once you've reviewed a notification, you can mark it as read.

To mark a notification as read:

  1. Open the notification center
  2. Find the notification you want to mark as read
  3. Click or tap on the notification—it will be marked as read automatically, or look for a checkbox or read button next to it

You can also dismiss or archive notifications to keep your notification center tidy.

Why you receive notifications

Your system administrator sets up notification rules to alert you of important events. Common reasons you receive notifications include:

  • Document creation — when invoices, bills, purchase orders, or other documents are created
  • Document updates — when important fields on a document change
  • Inventory alerts — when stock levels fall below a threshold
  • System changes — when other key business events occur

If you are receiving too many or too few notifications, your administrator can adjust the notification rules.

Tips & common mistakes

  • Check your notification center regularly — notifications are not stored forever; older notifications may be removed after a period of time
  • Don't ignore critical alerts — notifications marked as Critical often require immediate attention; review them promptly
  • Ask your admin to adjust rules if needed — if you feel you're missing important updates or getting too much noise, talk to your system administrator about notification preferences
  • Unread notifications pile up — if you see a number badge on the bell icon, that's your unread count; review them periodically to stay on top of changes
