Common questions about themes, fonts, sounds, and accessibility settings.
Can I use dark theme on some pages and light theme on others?
No. Theme choice applies to the entire Usystems interface. You select one theme—light, dark, or auto—and it applies everywhere. You can switch themes at any time by returning to Settings.
Will changing my font size affect how my reports print?
Font size in Settings controls how text appears on your screen, not how documents print. Reports and invoices use their own print formatting, which is independent of your screen font size setting.
What does "auto" theme do exactly?
Auto theme follows your device's system preference. On most phones and computers, this switches between light and dark based on the time of day or a manual setting. If your device is set to light mode, Usystems will use light. If dark mode, Usystems will use dark. The switch is automatic.
If I turn off sounds, will I still get notifications?
Yes. Notifications will still appear as alerts or messages on your screen. Sound settings control only the audio feedback—turning sounds off does not mute visual alerts, popup messages, or email notifications.
Can I have different theme and font size on different devices?
Yes. Each device/browser can have its own settings. When you log in on your phone, you can set a different theme and font size than on your desktop. Your preferences are tied to your account, but the browser remembers your choices per device, so you can customize each one independently.
Why do accessibility features matter?
Accessibility features like hover styles and visual aids make the interface easier to understand at a glance. Hover styles show which elements are interactive, preventing accidental clicks. Visual aids like bold labels and increased contrast improve readability, especially for people with low vision or color blindness. These settings help everyone use the system more confidently.
Can I undo my appearance changes?
Yes. You can always go back to Settings and change your theme, font size, sounds, or accessibility options. There is no penalty or data loss—these are purely cosmetic preferences.
If I use a very large font, will some buttons disappear or become hard to click?
Large fonts may cause some pages to require more scrolling, but buttons remain clickable. The layout adjusts to fit larger text. If you find a button is cut off or hard to access with your chosen font size, you can reduce the size slightly or use the zoom feature in your browser for additional magnification.
Do hover styles work on tablets and phones?
Hover styles are designed for mouse and trackpad use. On touch devices, you may not see hover effects until you tap. If you use a tablet with a connected mouse or trackpad, hover styles will work normally.
