Quick answers to common questions about languages and date formats.
Can I use different languages for different parts of the system?
No. Language preference applies to your entire Usystems interface—menus, labels, reports, and help text all use the same language. However, you can switch languages at any time, and your data remains unchanged.
What happens to dates if I switch between calendars?
The dates themselves do not change. Only the way they are displayed changes. For example, 1 Farvardin 1405 (Shamsi) and 20 March 2026 (Gregorian) represent the same day. All your data is stored safely—switching calendars only affects the view.
If I'm using Dari, will my data be in Dari?
Your data (contact names, product names, transaction details) remains exactly as you entered it. Language preference changes only the system labels and interface text. If you need to store information in Dari, you type it in yourself during data entry.
Can two users see the system in different languages?
Yes. Each user has their own language preference tied to their account. One user can log in and see English, while another logs in and sees Dari or Pashto. Switching users does not affect the language choice of others.
Do I need to change language or calendar to create documents in a different language?
No. Language and calendar settings control the Usystems interface only—they do not lock you into entering data in that language. You can always type product names, notes, or custom text in any language supported by your keyboard, regardless of your interface setting.
What happens if my country or region uses a different calendar tradition?
Usystems offers Hijri Shamsi (standard in Afghanistan) and Gregorian (international). These are the two supported calendars. Choose the one that matches your business or personal preference.
Can I set a different language or calendar for each device I log in from?
Yes. Each login session is independent. You can use English on your desktop and Dari on your phone. Preferences are attached to your user account, but the device you use does not override them—you can override your saved preference during any session by visiting Settings.
What if the calendar changes during a project or report period?
You can switch calendars freely without affecting your data. Historical reports will display dates in your new calendar format, and all calculations remain correct. There is no data loss or inconsistency.
