Common filter combinations

Scenario 1: Verify all active vendors in a region

  • Set Vendor Status = "Active"
  • Set Vendor Region = "Kabul"
  • Run the report to see only active vendors in Kabul.

Scenario 2: Check payment terms by category

  • Set Vendor Category = "Raw Materials"
  • Set Payment Terms = "Net 30"
  • Verify that all raw material suppliers have consistent Net 30 terms.

Scenario 3: Find missing contact information

  • Set Email Address = "blank" or leave empty
  • Run the report to identify vendors without email addresses.

Report display options

Some reports allow you to customize how results are displayed (these vary by system configuration):

  • Sort by — Choose the column to sort by (e.g., Vendor Name, Region, Payment Terms). Click a column header to toggle sort direction.
  • Rows per page — Choose how many vendor rows to display per page (e.g., 10, 25, 50, 100).
  • Column visibility — Some reports let you hide or show specific columns. Look for a column settings icon.

Combining filters (AND logic)

When you apply multiple filters, the report uses AND logic. For example:

  • Filter 1: Vendor Status = "Active"
  • Filter 2: Vendor Region = "Kabul"
  • Result: Show only vendors that are BOTH active AND located in Kabul.

If you need vendors in Kabul OR Herat, you cannot do this with a single filter set. Instead, run two separate reports, one filtered for Kabul and one for Herat, then combine the results manually.

Clearing filters

To remove all filters and see all vendors again:

  1. Look for a Clear Filters or Reset button (usually near the filter panel).
  2. Click it to restore the unfiltered view.
  3. Re-run the report.
