How to apply filters

  1. Look for the filter panel on the left side of the report or a filter button/icon.
  2. Click on each filter to set your criteria (select a customer, choose a date range, enter an amount, etc.).
  3. The report updates automatically — no "Apply" button is needed.
  4. To clear a specific filter, click it again and deselect your choice, or look for a "Clear" or "Reset" option.

Best practices for Open Invoices filtering

  • Start broad, then narrow: First view all open invoices, then apply filters to identify priority customers or invoices.
  • Focus on overdue: Use the "Days Overdue" filter to identify invoices that need immediate collection attention.
  • Group by amount: Apply an amount range filter to separate small invoices (which may not be worth chasing) from large ones that represent real cash flow impact.
  • Regular review: Set a recurring schedule (e.g., weekly or monthly) to review the Open Invoices report with your usual filters to stay on top of collections.
  • Combine filters: You can apply multiple filters at once. For example, filter by customer AND days overdue to find old, unpaid invoices for a specific customer.
