FAQ: Products & Switching
Answers to common questions about working with multiple products.
Q: What is a product?
A: A product is a module or business area within Usystems. Examples include Accounting (for invoices and financial records), Pharmacy (for medicines and prescriptions), Inventory (for warehouse stock), and HR (for employees and payroll). Your company enables the products it needs.
Q: How many products can my company have enabled?
A: That depends on your company's license and business needs. Your admin or manager decides which products are active. If you need access to a product that is not enabled, ask your admin.
Q: What happens to my data when I switch products?
A: Nothing. Your data in each product is separate and unaffected by switching. If you were editing something, it remains as you left it. However, any unsaved changes will be lost, so save your work before switching.
Q: Can I work on two products at the same time?
A: Yes, but not in the same browser window. You can open multiple browser tabs or windows and log into Usystems in each, then switch between them. However, it's simpler to use the product switcher in Usystems.
Q: Do I need to log out to switch products?
A: No. You can switch between products without logging out. Use the product switcher in your user menu or at the top of the page.
Q: What if I don't see the product I need in the switcher?
A: Your admin may not have enabled it for your account or company. Contact your manager or admin and ask them to give you access to that product.
Q: Will switching products affect my login session?
A: No. Your session remains active. You stay logged in to Usystems even when switching between products.
Q: Is there a keyboard shortcut to switch products?
A: There is no standard keyboard shortcut. Use the product switcher menu in your user menu (top right) or at the top of the page.
