Save the report to Excel, PDF, or CSV, or send it directly to your printer.
After running the Invoice Detail report, you can save a copy for your records, share it with management, or print it on paper. Usystems supports export to Excel, PDF, and CSV formats.
Before you start
- The Invoice Detail report must be displayed on screen (you've already run it).
- You must have permission to export reports (check with your admin if you cannot see the export option).
- For large reports (thousands of rows), Excel export is faster than PDF.

-
On the Invoice Detail report page, look for the Export button (usually at the top right).
-
Click Export and select Excel or Download as Excel.
-
Your browser will download a
.xlsxfile. The default filename isinvoice-detail-report-<date>.xlsx. -
Open the file in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet program.
-
You can now:
- Add your own charts or pivot tables
- Filter and sort data further
- Share the file via email

-
On the Invoice Detail report page, click Export and select PDF.
-
Choose any PDF options (portrait or landscape orientation, page size).
-
Click Download PDF or Save.
-
The PDF will be saved to your Downloads folder.
-
Use PDF for sharing read-only copies with stakeholders, since PDFs cannot be accidentally edited.

Click Export and select CSV.
-
A
.csvfile will download automatically. -
CSV is a plain-text format useful for importing data into other systems or databases.
Steps to print directly

-
Click Print (or use Ctrl+P / Cmd+P on your keyboard).
-
Choose your printer and paper size.
-
For wide reports, select Landscape orientation so all columns fit on the page.
-
Click Print.
Tips & common mistakes
- Large reports may be slow. If exporting thousands of rows, give the system 10-15 seconds to prepare the file.
- Check your downloads folder. Browser downloads go to your Downloads folder by default; look there if you cannot find the file.
- Excel is best for analysis. Use Excel export when you need to add formulas or create charts.
- PDF is best for sharing. Use PDF when you want a read-only record that cannot be edited.
- Printing tip: If the report is very wide, try landscape mode and reduce the margin size in your print settings.
