Running the Paid vs Unpaid Invoices report
Generate a report showing all invoices, both paid and unpaid, to track your outstanding receivables.
The Paid vs Unpaid Invoices report shows all invoices issued, clearly marking which ones have been paid and which remain outstanding. This report helps you manage cash flow and identify overdue accounts.
Before you start
- You must have permission to view reports.
- Your system must have at least one invoice.
- You can run this report for any date range.
Steps

Go to Reports in the main menu. Open in Usystems

Look for the Sales Reports section and select Paid vs Unpaid Invoices Report.

The report will load automatically. By default, it shows all invoices (paid and unpaid) from your business.

(Optional) To narrow down the results, use the filters at the top of the report. You can filter by date range, customer, payment status, or other criteria. See Filters and options in the Paid vs Unpaid Invoices report for details.

Review the columns to see invoice number, customer name, amount, and payment status (Paid or Unpaid).
Accounting impact
When you run this report, no accounting entries are created. The report displays the current payment status of all invoices based on what has already been recorded in your system.
Tips & common mistakes
- Use this report to identify overdue invoices. Filter by unpaid status and sort by date to find invoices that need follow-up.
- Check the report date range. If you see fewer invoices than expected, verify that your date filter is not too narrow.
- Compare paid vs unpaid totals. This report is ideal for reconciling your accounts receivable with your accounting records.
