Permission Reference: Contacts

This table lists all permissions that control access to customer and vendor contact management in Usystems.

Permission	What It Controls	Allowed Actions
contact.view	View contacts	Users can see the list of all customers and vendors, view their details (names, addresses, phone numbers, balances), and review transaction history.
contact.create	Create contacts	Users can add new customers or vendors to the system with their basic information.
contact.update	Edit contacts	Users can modify contact details (name, address, currency preference, payment terms, credit limits), and update balance information.

What happens without these permissions?

Without contact.view, users cannot see the customer or vendor list, and cannot select contacts when creating invoices or purchases. Without contact.create/update, users cannot add or modify contacts.
