Permission Reference: HR & Payroll

This table lists all permissions that control access to human resources and payroll functions in Usystems.

Permission	What It Controls	Allowed Actions
employee.view	View employee records	Users can see the list of all employees, their details (names, positions, departments, contact info, salary), and employment history.
employee.update	Edit employee records	Users can modify employee information—name, position, department, salary, bank details, contact information, and employment status.
payroll.pay_employee	Process payroll	Users can calculate employee salaries, apply deductions, process pay runs, and generate payslips.

Employees → (limited) employee.view of own record (to check personal details)
Admin → all permissions (full control)

What happens without these permissions?

Without employee.view, users cannot see employee records or process payroll. Without payroll.pay_employee, users cannot run salary calculations.
