Switching between product lines of one company

What this does

When your company operates multiple product lines (such as a pharmacy and a clinic), you can switch between them instantly without logging out. Your login credentials work for all product lines you have permission to access.

Before you start

• Your account must be assigned to at least two product lines by an administrator.
• You must have permission to access each product line (check with your manager if you can only see one).

Steps

1. Look for the product name displayed in the top navigation menu (usually in the top-left or top-right corner near your user profile).

2. Click on the product name to open the product switcher menu.

3. You will see a list of all product lines available to you under your company.

4. Click the name of the product line you want to switch to.

5. The system instantly reloads and displays data for that product line—inventory, sales orders, invoices, and reports all update.

6. You remain logged in; no re-entry of password is needed.

Tips & common mistakes

• Switching does not affect other users: if you are on a shared computer, other staff members logged in on different devices will not be affected by your product line switch.
• Pending changes: if you have unsaved changes on a form in one product line, switch back to that line and save before moving to another line. Switching away does not automatically save incomplete work.
• Product name varies by system setup: your product switcher might show names like "Pharmacy," "Clinic," "Accounting," or custom names—ask your manager if you are unsure which line to use for a particular task.
• No access? Ask your administrator: if you expect to see a product line in the switcher but it does not appear, you may not have been granted permission. Ask your manager or system administrator to grant you access.
