Exporting and printing the Inventory Value report
Save the report as a file or print it for accounting, auditing, or management review.
After running the Inventory Value report, you can export the financial data to a file or print it. This is especially useful for accounting records, audits, bank presentations, or sharing with management.
Before you start
- The report must be run and displayed on screen.
- You need permissions to export or print (usually same as view inventory).
Steps to export

Run the Inventory Value Report. Open in Usystems

After the report generates, look for the Export button on the report toolbar.

Choose your preferred format:
- Excel — save as .xlsx; best for further financial analysis and charts.
- CSV — comma-separated values; works in any spreadsheet or accounting software.
- PDF — formatted document; ready to print, email, or archive.

Click the format button. The file downloads to your computer.

Open the file in Excel, your spreadsheet application, or PDF viewer.
Steps to print

Run the Inventory Value Report. Open in Usystems

After the report generates, click the Print button on the report toolbar.

Your browser's print dialog opens. Choose:
- Printer — select your connected printer.
- Paper size — Letter or A4.
- Orientation — Landscape works better for reports with many columns or high values.

Click Print to send to the printer.
Tips & common mistakes
- Excel is best for analysis. Use it to create charts, calculate ratios, or compare periods.
- PDF preserves exact formatting. Use it for official records, audits, or emailing to external parties.
- Landscape orientation fits totals better. If columns are cut off, switch to Landscape before printing.
- Export includes all applied filters. If you filtered by warehouse or costing method, the file contains only that data.
- Always check the Grand Total before sharing. Make sure the bottom-line value is sensible for your business.
