Every meaningful action in USystems Atlas — creating a patient record, editing an invoice, changing a user's role — is written to the Audit Log. Each entry captures the user who performed the action, a timestamp, the affected record, and a summary of what changed.

You can find the Audit Log under Administration > Audit Log. From there, filter entries by user, date range, module, or action type to quickly narrow down what you're looking for. This is especially useful when investigating an unexpected change to a patient record or reconciling a billing discrepancy.

In a healthcare setting, audit trails aren't just good practice — they're frequently required by regulation. Being able to show a clear, tamper-evident history of who accessed or modified sensitive data is often a prerequisite for passing compliance reviews and internal security audits.

Audit Log entries cannot be edited or deleted by any user, including administrators, which keeps the record trustworthy. Exports are available in CSV format for sharing with auditors or storing offline.
