Receipt prints without the shop header
Fix missing business name, logo, or contact details on printed receipts.
The receipt header typically includes your business name, logo, address, and contact details. If these are missing from printed or PDF receipts, it is usually because the print template is not configured correctly or the business settings are incomplete.
Symptom
You print or preview a sales receipt, and it shows only the items and totals—no business name, logo, phone number, or address at the top.
Likely causes (in order of probability)
1. Business settings are incomplete
-
The business name, address, phone, or email is not set up in your organization profile.
-
Fix: Go to Settings → Business Settings (or Organization Profile). Fill in the following fields:
- Business Name
- Address
- Phone Number
- Email Address
Save the settings. Then print the receipt again to see if the header appears.
2. Print template does not include the header
- The receipt template was customized and the header section was removed or hidden.
- Fix: Go to Settings → Print Templates and look for the receipt template (usually called "Sales Receipt" or similar). If you see it, click to view or edit. Check if there is a section for business details at the top. If it is commented out or missing, you can either:
- Restore it if you know the template language, or
- Contact your system administrator or Usystems support to re-add the header section.
3. Logo is not uploaded
- A placeholder or missing-image icon appears where the logo should be.
- Fix: Go to Settings → Business Settings or Organization Profile and look for a Logo or Image field. If it is empty, click to upload your business logo. Use a PNG, JPG, or similar format, at least 200 × 200 pixels. Save and print again.
4. Print template is not assigned
- No template is selected for sales receipts, so the system uses a minimal fallback template.
- Fix: Go to Settings → Print Templates and check if a default receipt template is selected. If none is assigned, create or select a receipt template and mark it as default. Then print the receipt again.
Tips & common mistakes
- Template customization: If you have customized the receipt template, ensure the header section is still present. Removing it entirely will result in a headerless receipt.
- Browser print preview: If you are using the browser's Print Preview, some styles or sections may not display. Try printing to PDF or a physical printer to see the full result.
- Logo size: A very large logo may push other content down. If the logo takes up most of the page, reduce its size in the settings or ask your administrator to resize it in the template.
When to contact support
If the business settings are complete, a print template is assigned, and the header still does not appear, contact your system administrator or Usystems support with:
- A screenshot of the printed receipt (or PDF)
- A screenshot of your Business Settings (showing that name, address, etc. are filled in)
- Confirmation of which print template is being used
