Understanding Product Settings
An overview of the Settings > Product area, covering feature toggles, default values, and what admins versus regular users can change.
Tucked inside Settings > Product is a set of controls that shape how USystems Atlas behaves across your entire organization, separate from the personal preferences found elsewhere in your account.
Feature toggles sit at the top of the page and let administrators turn optional modules on or off, such as appointment reminders or an insurance eligibility checker. Flipping a toggle off doesn't delete any related data — it simply hides that feature from every user's interface until it's switched back on.
Below the toggles are default values: things like the default appointment length, the default currency for new invoices, and the default language for outgoing patient notifications. These defaults apply automatically to new records but never override values already saved on existing patients or invoices.
Regular users can view this entire page for reference but cannot save changes; only accounts with the Administrator or Product Owner role have edit rights here. If you believe a setting needs to change and you aren't an admin, the page shows a "Request Change" button that notifies your organization's administrators directly.
