Your First Login and Two-Factor Setup
A step-by-step walkthrough for brand-new users signing in for the first time and enabling two-factor authentication.
Welcome to USystems Atlas. The first time you sign in, you'll want to confirm your identity and lock down your account before you touch any patient or billing data. Follow these steps in order.
- Open the invitation email from your administrator and click the sign-in link, which will bring you to a page asking you to set a new password.
- Choose a strong password that you don't reuse anywhere else, then confirm it and continue to the dashboard.
- Open your profile menu in the top right and select Security Settings.
- Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication and scan the QR code with an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Authy.
- Enter the six-digit code the app generates to confirm the pairing, then store the backup codes somewhere safe.
From now on, every login will ask for your password plus a fresh six-digit code, which keeps patient records secure even if your password is ever compromised.
