Company appearance: login screen, lock screen images and default theme

Your company's visual appearance — login screen background, lock screen images, and default color theme — creates a professional first impression and ensures consistent branding across Usystems. These settings apply company-wide, though individual users can override the default theme if permitted.

Before you start

• You must be logged in as a user with Company Settings or Admin access.
• You will need image files (PNG or JPG) for login background and lock screen images. Recommended dimensions:
  • Login background: 1920×1080 pixels or wider (landscape format)
  • Lock screen images: 1920×1080 pixels (landscape format)
• The default theme applies to all users unless you allow user overrides.
• Changing these settings takes effect immediately for new logins.

Steps

Upload login background image

1. Go to Company Settings. Click your name or avatar in the top-right corner, then select Settings. Open in Usystems

2. Find Appearance or Branding. Look for a section titled Company Appearance, Branding, or Login.

3. Upload login background. Click the image upload field labeled Login Background or Login Screen Image.

4. Select your image file. Choose a PNG or JPG file from your computer. The image should be landscape format (wider than it is tall).

5. Save your changes. Click Save or Apply.

Add lock screen images

1. In the same Appearance section, find Lock Screen Images or Saver Images.

2. Add one or more images. Click Add Image or the upload button, then select PNG or JPG files.

   • You can add 1–5 images; the system will rotate through them when the screen is locked.
   • All images should be landscape format (1920×1080 or similar ratio).

3. Reorder images (if available). Drag and drop to change the display order, or use arrow buttons to move images up and down.

4. Save your changes. Click Save or Apply.

Set default color theme

1. Still in Appearance settings, find Default Theme Preset or Company Color Theme.

2. Choose a color option:

   • Blue — professional, neutral, widely used in enterprise software
   • Gray — minimalist, monochrome
   • Green — calming, natural aesthetic
   • Dark — high-contrast, reduces eye strain in dim environments

3. Configure user overrides (optional). Look for a checkbox labeled Allow users to override theme or Allow user theme customization.

   • If checked: users can choose their own theme in their personal settings.
   • If unchecked: all users see the company default theme; no personal override allowed.

4. Save your changes. Click Save or Apply.

Accounting impact

This setting does not affect accounting data or financial reporting. It is purely visual.

Tips & common mistakes

• Test your login background on a mobile device. Backgrounds that look good on desktop may crop or blur on smaller screens.
• Use high-quality images (at least 1920×1080) to avoid blurriness when stretched to fill the screen.
• Keep lock screen images professional. These are visible to anyone walking past an unlocked workstation.
• If you allow user overrides, communicate the default theme to new users so they know where to find it if needed.
• Logo and icon placement may vary based on your Usystems theme. Preview your images after upload to ensure the company logo or icon remains visible.
• Large image files may take longer to load on slower internet connections; compress PNG/JPG files before uploading.
