Language & calendar settings
The Language & calendar tab controls which language the Usystems interface appears in, and how dates and numbers are formatted in your workspace.
Fields explained

What this controls
- Interface language — menus, labels, error messages, and help all appear in your chosen language.
- Date interpretation — when you type a date, the system interprets it correctly based on your format.
- Calendar system — if you use Islamic calendar, dates are shown in Hijri (1403, 1404, etc.) and Gregorian.
- Regional defaults — number and currency formatting matches your region's conventions.
- Text direction — the interface automatically adjusts to right-to-left layout for Dari and other RTL languages.
Tips
- Language change takes effect immediately — no restart needed.
- If you work in a multi-language team, each user can set their own language independently.
- The calendar system affects date entry and reporting — switching from Gregorian to Islamic calendar changes how all dates display.
- Afghan businesses typically use Islamic calendar (Hijri) side-by-side with Gregorian — Usystems supports both.
- Changing the date format does not change stored dates — it only changes how they appear on screen.
To access these settings, go to Settings → Language & Calendar Open in Usystems.
