Setting your personal language and appearance

Usystems lets you choose the language and appearance of the interface. Your preferences are saved to your account so the system looks the way you want every time you log in.

Before you start

• You can change your language and appearance at any time; changes take effect immediately.
• Supported languages typically include English and Dari (Farsi), depending on your organization.
• Themes (light, dark, or auto) affect how menus, forms, and reports appear on screen.

Steps

1. Click your name or profile photo in the top-right corner. Open in Usystems

2. Select Preferences, Display Settings, or Language & Theme from the menu.

3. Choose your Language:

   • Select from the available options (e.g., English, Dari).
   • The interface will refresh in your chosen language.

4. Choose your Theme (if available):

   • Light – White backgrounds, dark text.
   • Dark – Dark backgrounds, light text (easier on the eyes in low light).
   • Auto – Matches your device's system setting (switches at sunset/sunrise on some systems).

5. Optionally, set other appearance options:

   • Font size (larger or smaller text).
   • Text direction (left-to-right for English, right-to-left for Dari).
   • Accessibility features (high contrast, reduced motion, etc.).

6. Click Save or Apply to confirm.

Tips & common mistakes

• Language changes immediately: if you switch to Dari and the page doesn't refresh, reload the browser (Ctrl+R or Cmd+R).
• Dark mode on mobile: on phones, dark mode saves battery on OLED screens; light mode is easier to read outdoors.
• RTL and LTR: if you switch to Dari, text direction will change to right-to-left automatically; English stays left-to-right.
• Colleague views: your language choice affects only your screen—colleagues see their own choice, not yours.
